Weekend in Review
By BritMatt and I spent the weekend in Toledo with his parents. It was a tonnnn of fun. I always love going to hang out with Ginny.
We had some AMAZING Japanese food.
Went shopping in a tea shop.
Saw this awesome sculpture in the middle of a parking lot.
And went on a photo safari.
I’ve been ridiculously busy with work and studying for work and catching up on sleep that going into work at 715am everyday is making me lose. I love the job though, right now at least, and that’s the most important thing.

Number Two
By BritThis is Abby. She’s the world’s second cutest dog, after Lucy-dog (of course!).
I’m quite inundated with work (and homework, from work! ugh) but I’m hoping to get a lot of picture taking in this weekend and hopefully later this week! But, for now? A well-deserved nap (I’m not used to these long ass days!).
My 365 Project: Week 1 (& a half)
By BritI started doing a 365 Project where I take a photograph every day for a year on the 10th of February. It’s been 10 days, and for the most part, I’m ridiculously happy with the pictures I’ve taken. A couple of days I’ve felt fairly terrible and have just snapped something quick so that I could go to bed, but other days, I spent hours taking pictures and editing them to find the perfect picture.
Each day for the next week, the pictures (with descriptions) are posted on the 365 Collection on my flickr. I’ll post next week’s pictures on Saturday (hopefully, if everything goes alright).

My Newest Lens
By BritTwo days ago I got a new lens. Ginny ordered each of us a lens last week and they were delivered to Toledo. I busted my butt and met Ginny in Dundee. I got the lens, and left without any chocolate (we met at the Russell Stover’s outlet), ice cream is a different story.
It’s a Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens and it’s the most perfectist thing, EVER.
Anyways, I’ve spent the last few days trying out the lens. It’s amazing. I love it. I’ve taken some pretty awesome pictures with it too:
As always, there are a million more pictures on my flickr.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
By BritI know Valentine’s Day is almost over, but I had to share this picture:
I’ll have more information about the picture and a new project. But for now, I MUST figure out what the hell I fed the dog today that is making her fart so freaking bad! ugh!

Water Drops
By BritLast night, Matt and I went down to his parents house. Ginny enticed me with healthy fish and chips. The food was AMAZING. In fact, I wish I had some right now. After dinner, I convinced Ginny to take some water droplet pictures with me. This is what I ended up with:

I’m kinda of in love with it. It took about 100+ pictures to get a few good shots, which I don’t think is too, too terrible. It must have been hilarious to look at Ginn and me taking this pictures: both of us crammed into a small bathroom with a reflector and a tripod and yeah. It was pretty awesome though. I’m proud of the shots we got.
Speaking of Ginn, she got her picture of a little ol’ clock featured on The Pioneer Woman. I’m so excited for her! I hope she’s a finalist, she totally deserves it!

Overnight
By BritLast night I took Lucy-dog out and the snow was coming down pretty good. I yelled for Matt to bring down my camera and flash and got some pretty amazing pictures.
Of course, there are always more pictures at my flickr.
Apparently …
By BritI have too much time on my hands. And apparently, this is the most adorable dog IN THE WORLD.
Have I mentioned that we name all of Lucy’s “babies” (stuffed toys)? This one is Mr. Ducksworth (yes, named after a character in Mighty Ducks). We also have, in no particular order: Hairy (some kind of gorilla), Nuts (squirrel – who is currently lost), Mr. Jefferson (monkey), soccer ball (ok, that’s not named) and Mango (some orange thing). She knows all of her babies by name and brings us a different one every time we come in the door. It’s the cutest thing, EVER.
